How do I delete custom program requirements and/or sections without affecting the existing program?
Answer:
Currently, users cannot delete requirements within custom programs directly through the Hyperproof UI. This restriction is known and applies to everyone. Although many users have requested a feature to remove requirements, it has not been implemented to date. Currently, users can only delete empty sections from the UI.
Available Workarounds
Until UI-based deletion is supported, the following approaches can help you manage unwanted requirements in your custom programs.
1. Mark Requirements as "Not Applicable"
This is the simplest method if the requirement should be excluded from day-to-day workflows.
Marking a requirement as Not Applicable hides it from most views.
It also removes the requirement from statistics and calculations.
You can use this approach when you want to keep your program structure but avoid specific requirements.
2. Rebuild a Clean Program via Export and Import
If you need an immaculate program without the unwanted requirements, you can:
Export the existing custom program.
Remove unwanted requirements (and sections, if applicable) from the exported file.
Re-import the cleaned file to create a new version of the program.
Archive the old program once the new one is validated.
This approach is recommended when you want a complete reset or when the presence of unwanted requirements affects reporting, workflows, or future maintenance.

A formal idea for enabling requirement deletion is already available and has significant community support. Upvoting it helps the product team prioritize the enhancement.
