Problem:

If you're using Hyperproof and the screen spontaneously reloads with a spinning cursor and the message:

"We're getting things ready for you, this should take just a few moments. Hyperproof has been updated."

this may point to a client-side network misconfiguration, typically related to your VPN or proxy settings.

Troubleshooting steps (may require IT assistance):

  • First clear your browser's site data:

    • Press F12 on your keyboard to open your developer tools

    • Click the Application tab

    • Under Storage in the left panel

    • Expand Local Storage and Session Storage

    • Right click on https://hyperproof.app and click Clear for each

  • Are you using a VPN, proxy, or VPN replacement (e.g., Netskope)?

  • Can you test Hyperproof without using the VPN?

  • Are you connected to a corporate network or working from home?

  • If on a corporate network:

    • Are there any proxies or network appliances in use?

    • Can you test from a different network, like a coffee shop or mobile hotspot?

  • Are there any special browser plugins or security tools installed?

  • Can you test on a different laptop that does not have those tools or plugins installed?

Next step:

Open a support case by emailing support@hyperproof.io. Be sure to include:

  • Your browser (e.g., Chrome or Edge)

  • Your operating system (Mac or Windows)

  • Your answers to the above questions

Our Support team will help investigate further.
