The Participant Experience - High Level

As an experience creator, when you invite users via our system or using a shareable link, the experience will automatically load into their app queue. If users enter a code, doing so will add the experience to their app. Participation is simple, and varies slightly depending on your category of measurement:

  • Pre-recorded content: Participants can complete the measurement anytime they want by clicking on the link they received via email or by clicking the experience tile from their app.** Participation is entirely at their convenience, and data will auto-aggregate for you as more people complete the measurement!

  • Live experience: Participants invited to participate in a live experience measurement will receive a notification a few minutes before the event begins to open their phone app and to start data collection via their smartwatch or fitness device.**

To participate in an Immersion measurement:

  1. You must first download our iPhone/Android app

  2. And then pair your smartwatch or fitness device (for supported devices, see here).

To join an experience via a link:

  1. Open the email with the link on your mobile phone.

  2. This will take you to the App Store to download the Immersion mobile app (if you don't already have it) or it will redirect you to opening your app (if you have it.)

  3. Once the app is downloaded, sign up/sign into the app using the same email you received the link

To join an experience via Experience ID:

  1. The Experience ID will be in your invite email as well. It looks like this:

  2. Click on "Add Experience via ID#" in the app to access the experience.​

**NOTE: If participants sign in to the app as a Guest, OR if they create their Immersion Mobile account using an email that differs from that used to invite them or that used in the shareable link form, the experience will not show up in their queue, and you may need to provide them the experience ID (the 5-digit alpha-numeric code found at the end of the shareable link).
