To participate in an Immersion measurement, all you need is a mobile device with a WIFI or cell service, a supported device (see here for more detail on supported devices and operating system requirements), and the Immersion Mobile app!

Double check the operating system of your iPhone or Android phone and your device
For your iPhone: Immersion supports the iOS 13 system or newer.
For your Android: Immersion supports Android 10 or newer.
In addition, double-check that your fitness sensor is supported by Immersion on this list here.
Download the Immersion app on your smartphone
From your iOS or Android device, search & download Immersion Mobile app (or scan the QR code below).

If you are having trouble downloading the app, make sure your phone is updated to meet our minimum required operating system:
3. Create an app account using your email address or continue as a Guest.
Note: Email is only used to for participation communication (e.g., to send your personal results), you will not receive marketing emails from us.
4. Pair your fitness sensor
Upon first-time pairing, click the "other Fitness Sensor" tile. Click "Search" and then turn on your fitness sensor. Select the corresponding device.
To pair your sensor a second time, make sure to open the Immersion app and THEN turn on your sensor.
Having trouble pairing?
If you are having trouble pairing the sensor, make sure that you turn on your fitness sensor AFTER opening the Immersion app and not before.
By turning on the sensor preemptively, the sensor automatically pairs with your phone on Bluetooth, preventing it from connecting with the app.
To unpair the sensor from the phone on an iPhone, click "Forget Device" under Bluetooth in your iPhone settings. To unpair on an Android, click "Unpair" in your settings.
5. Congrats! You are ready to participate in an experience!
You should now be all set to participate in an Immersion measurement! For this, you will either be provided an Experience ID by the experienced coordinator, or an experience will automatically load into your queue once you’re invited. When you join, be sure your device is turned on, and the icon in the upper right-hand corner of the app has turned green. If it does not turn green, click the icon to connect.

Stopping Data Collection for Scoshe:
When you have completed the experience and are ready to turn off data collection, turn off your Scosche sensor by pressing and holding the gray square center of the sensor
