We’ve redesigned the Client Activity tab to make it easier to understand what’s been happening with a client, without digging through dense tables or scattered updates.

The Activity tab now uses a clean, timeline-style layout that is faster to scan and easier to follow. It presents client-related events in chronological order, giving you immediate context around requests, updates, and key system actions.

What’s changed

Client activity is now displayed as a simple timeline list, with the most recent items shown first. A Show more option allows you to load additional history without overwhelming the page.

Each activity entry clearly shows:

  • A label describing the type of activity, such as a request, budget update, care plan creation, or general update

  • Who performed the action

  • When it happened

Icons are used alongside each entry to help you instantly recognise different activity types at a glance. This makes it easy to distinguish between things like requests, funding changes, care plan updates, and system-generated events. A built-in search allows you to quickly find a specific activity or keyword.

The overall design is scan-first. You get the context immediately, with the option to open an item for more detail when needed.

Request Update Experience (Add Client Activity)

Alongside the Activity view refresh, we’ve also upgraded the Request Update experience to make sending and tracking requests clearer and more structured.

What’s new

The request composer now supports @ mentions, a cleaner editor, and optional file uploads. This allows you to direct a request to a specific person with clear context, rather than relying on informal notes or follow-ups.

How it works

You start by @ mentioning the person you’re requesting an update from. Once a recipient is selected, you can also @ tag the request type, such as Budget, Care Plan, Roster, Invoice, Documentation, Report, or General. This adds clarity and makes requests easier to understand and action.

Requests support rich text editing, including formatting, headings, lists, links, and quotes, so expectations are clear and nothing important gets missed. You can also upload an attachment, such as a PDF, Word document, or image, to provide supporting context.

Built-in guardrails help prevent mistakes. If the recipient @ mention is removed, the selected recipient is cleared automatically, ensuring requests are not accidentally sent to the wrong person.

Together, these updates make the Client Activity area a reliable place to review what’s happened, request what’s needed, and keep client-related communication structured and easy to follow.
