Creating a Task Note

Task notes live inside each task and are used to record what happened, what was discussed, or what needs to be followed up.

Notes are written using a rich text editor, so you can format content and paste links.

To create a note, open a task (from the Tasks list) and go to the Notes tab. Click into the editor and start typing. Imploy saves task notes automatically as you type, so you don’t need to press a “Save” button.

As you write, you can optionally set a note type (this is shown as a label next to the note once saved). Common types include General, Email, Phone, SMS, F2F, and Teleconsult. The type is useful when you want to scan back through notes later and quickly understand the context.

A few important behaviours to be aware of:

  • Notes won’t save if the content is effectively empty (for example, only spaces).

  • Auto-save happens quickly after you pause typing, and also when you click out of the note editor.

  • If you change the note type while there’s content in the editor, that type change is also saved automatically.

Once the note is created, it appears in the list below the editor with a date and the selected note type.

Once you have finished creating or editing the note, press the clear button next to the type dropdown to clear the editor of any notes present. This will not delete the note, but just clear it.
