Using the Roster Map View and Radius Filtering

Use the interactive Map View to visualize client and staff locations, calculate precise travel metrics, and filter available workers by radius.

How to Access the Map View

  1. Navigate to the Roster module using the main left-hand sidebar.

  2. In the top filter bar, click on the view-interval dropdown menu (which typically defaults to Day, Week, or Month).

  3. Select Map from the bottom of the list to instantly load the map interface.

How to Filter Staff and Clients by Radius

Once you are inside the map interface, you can utilise the floating control panel on the left to match support workers with participants based on proximity.

  1. Click into the Search input field inside the Radius Filter panel.

  2. Search and select the specific client you want to find staff for.

  3. Select a proximity limit by clicking one of the preset boundary buttons: 1 km, 5 km, 10 km, or 15 km.

  4. Review the blue perimeter circle generated on the map layout to see the geographical boundary visually.

  5. Review the localised results instantly grouped in the panel sidebar:

    • Staff in Radius: Lists matching support workers sorted by their exact distance and estimated commute time (e.g., 0.0 km • 0m) to help you identify who is closest.

    • Clients in Radius: Lists other participants residing within that same perimeter, making it easy to see which clients live close to one another.

High-Precision Travel Dynamics & Distance Check-Ins

  1. Accurate Travel Data: Travel time and travel distance calculations are now significantly more precise when a staff member drives to or completes a shift. The mapping engine draws real-time road distances, allowing coordinating teams to verify commuting viability, minimize overlapping travel times, and issue highly precise travel allowances.

  2. Location-Aware Verification: Distance check-ins completed by field staff now pull specific geographic coordinates. These live details are visible to administrators inside both the active Map View map markers and the individual shift details in the Roster sidebar.
