Configuring Resource View Layouts

When managing care schedules in Resource View, you can customise your workspace to your preference. Depending on how many overlapping shifts a participant has per day, you can toggle between a horizontal timeline split or a vertical card stack.

How to Toggle Stacked Card View

To change how your event cards are rendered on the calendar grid, follow this explicit control path: Go to Roster (Left Sidebar) > Select Resource view (Top Header Filter) > Click More> Select Configuration > Toggle On Stack event cards

Layout Breakdowns

1. Unstacked View (Traditional Horizontal Split)

When the stacking toggle is turned off, the scheduling engine forces all events for a given day to share a single row layout:

  • How it displays: Multiple appointments on the same day are squeezed side-by-side horizontally.

  • The Impact: The cards shrink into narrow vertical strips. While this layout keeps the row height uniform, it truncates shift names (e.g., displaying as Personal..., Personal..., Domestic...) and hides critical appointment text details. This view is ideal if your primary goal is to scan general vacancy spaces across a wide workforce layout.

2. Stacked View (Vertical Card Stack)

Activating the Stack event cards toggle completely restructures your workspace cells:

  • How it displays: Instead of shrinking horizontally, each shift takes up the full width of the day column and stacks cleanly on top of the next in a vertical chain.

  • The Impact: The cell dynamically stretches downward to accommodate the stack, keeping all text fully visible. Coordinators can read the complete service type (Personal Care, Domestic Cleaning), exact timestamps, assigned staff/client members, pricing figures, and destination addresses at a single glance without hover-actions or clicking.
