1. What is inClimate?
Three years ago, our Founder Tim Steppich was looking for a job in Europe’s climate sector. All he could find were some not-so-great job boards that didn’t seem to be working for anyone — not for recruiters and not for professionals looking for a job in the climate sector.
Originally meant as a pro-bono project, Tim started inClimate as a free platform in January 2022 and then built it up feature by feature - the inClimate community, the job board, our matching algorithm, the talent database, and much more ...
Today, inClimate has over 25,000 members and 1,500 climate companies are using the platform to find their next hire.
2. What's so special about inClimate?
LinkedIn, indeed, and job boards are just not cutting it for climate companies anymore.
They are expensive, posting jobs takes time, and the quality of applicants tends to be low. Most candidates don't know much about the climate sector. inClimate was built to fix all these issues.
Here's why recruiters use inClimate instead:
🕐 Effortless
Recruiters don’t need to lift a finger after they sign up for inClimate. The platform automatically finds, categorizes, and posts all their jobs for them.
✉️ Email-Based
Our job board is awesome, but job boards are not the best way to reach candidates. Every Monday morning, everyone in our talent pool receives an email from us with all new jobs that match their background.
🇪🇺 Europe and Climate Focused
We only allow jobs at climate companies and sustainability jobs at corporates to be posted on inClimate. Unlike others, we cover all countries in Europe.
🤝 Community-Based
Many highly skilled professionals don’t sign up for hiring platforms or publically proclaim that they’re considering new job opportunities. But they join communities. We are the largest community of climate professionals in Europe and can access highly qualified and senior talent this way.
💸 Subscription-Based and Cheap
Companies only need to pay a monthly membership starting at 49€ - they can post unlimited job posts, access the entire talent pool, and hire as many candidates as they want.

5. Where in the world can companies hire via inClimate?
Our users are based in 107 countries worldwide, but we are particularly focused on Europe and also have a strong user base in the United States. Currently, we're heavily focused on getting all European companies to post their climate jobs through us and thus we are focused on growing the talent pool in Europe and the US.
That being said, through word of mouth and increased flexibility of jobseekers, many users are looking for climate jobs in either Europe or their home country. We've grown an increasing presence for instance in Brazil, South Africa, India, and Australia. We will more aggressively expand globally when the time is right.
In a nutshell, you should consider inClimate if you're hiring in Europe or the US, but we do offer any climate company globally to give us a shot. If you're hiring solely in the Global South, we will happily give you a discount first to test how successful the platform could be.
