Templates at your fingertips

We've simplified navigation to templates by adding access onto our navigation pane. Templates can also be created from this location.

Objective

1. Accessing Templates

Navigate to the sidebar menu in Indago and click on Templates

2. Creating a New Template

  • Click on the (+) in the center of the screen or the

    located on the far right.

  • Name your template and clearly state its purpose.

  • Select the tone and persona appropriate for the report.

  • Outline the necessary sections to build a comprehensive template.

3. Adding Elements to the Template

  • Incorporate headers, subheads, and any repetitive information that should remain consistent.

  • Ensure your template is clear and comprehensive, optimizing it for easy reporting.

4. Saving and Sharing

  • Click on Create to save your template.

  • Your new template will be stored under your account for future use.

  • Share the template with your team to facilitate collaborative reporting.

After saving your template, you can return and edit or generate a report directly from Templates.

Editing Your Template

  • Select the pencil icon next to the template you would like to edit. From there you can modify your template.

  • You can also select the report icon to generate a report, and from there, you are prompted to review elements of the report including selecting your sources before generating your report.

Tip: To generate your report from Templates, you will need to create a Collection first.

Best Practices and Tips

  • Make sure the template is well-structured and addresses all essential information.

  • Avoid cluttering the template with irrelevant or redundant details.

  • Double-check the accuracy of the template before sharing it with the team.

  • Leverage existing templates in Indago to speed up your reporting process.

  • Regularly update and refine your templates based on team feedback and shifting reporting requirements.

  • Encourage team members to create and share their own templates to enhance productivity across the board.

With these steps, you’ll be able to harness the full potential of Indago’s template feature, making your reporting process quicker and more efficient!
