The Immersive Story template

At Indiegraf, our platform offers two different post templates to help you showcase your content in the most effective way.

By default, posts are published in our Default template, which is ideal for straightforward articles where the main focus is on the text. This template is structured, familiar, and easy to read—perfect for news updates, short features, or quick stories.

Here is a screenshot example of a post using the Default template:

For longer, more narrative-driven pieces, we recommend exploring our Immersive Story template. This style is often compared to “longform” articles and is designed to captivate your readers with a stronger visual impact.

Where to select this template?

You can easily change your post's template style by following these steps:

  1. Go to the backend of the post

  2. In the right side menu, while on the Post tab, scroll down to the Template option

  3. Select the Immersive template

What makes Immersive Story unique?

  • Striking feature image: Unlike standard posts, the feature image you upload in an Immersive Story appears full-width at the very top of the page, before the title and byline. It spans edge-to-edge across the screen, instantly drawing your reader in.

  • Best for in-depth content: Immersive Stories shine when used for longer narratives, special reports, or stories that benefit from a mix of text and visuals.

  • No sidebar distractions: In this template, the standard page sidebar is hidden. This clean, distraction-free layout is intentional and helps immerse readers fully in the story.Image recommendations

Image recommendations

For the best results, we recommend using 1920 x 1080 pixel images (16:9 ratio) for your full-width feature image. This ensures your visuals are sharp, impactful, and optimized for all screen sizes.

💡 Tip: Avoid tall/portrait images. These can look awkward in immersive templates because your site will crop too aggressively on smaller screens.
