IndyForms makes it simple to save, print, or export your form records. You can generate a PDF copy of a form record or export records to Excel for reporting and analysis.
Print or Save as PDF a Form Record
You can print or save a form record as a PDF.
Open the form record you want to print.
In the top toolbar, click Print.
A print menu will appear. Select whether to enable Break Pages.
Click the Print button.
The record will download as a PDF in your browser.
Open the file from your downloads to print or store it.
Tip: You don’t need to download records for filing — IndyForms securely stores all your records, with no storage limits. Use search, filters, and exports to manage records at any time.
In IndyForms, Break Pages means that when you print or save a form record as a PDF, each section or page of the form will start on a new page in the PDF.
✅ With Break Pages ON → Each page/section of the form prints separately (useful for long forms or when you want a clean layout).
🚫 With Break Pages OFF → The form flows continuously without forced page breaks (good for shorter forms or if you want to save paper when printing).
Export Form Records to Excel
You can export all form records for a specific form to Excel for analysis and reporting.
Open the form in list view (where all records are displayed).
Click Export in the top toolbar.
An Excel file (.xlsx) containing all records for that form will download to your browser — including incomplete and completed records, across all form versions.
Open the file to view responses in a spreadsheet, where you can use Excel tools to sort, filter, or create reports.
Tip: All field responses are included in the spreadsheet, making it easy to action, review, and analyse your form data outside of IndyForms.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q. Does Export to Excel include draft or in-progress records?
A. Yes. The export includes all records for the form — both in-progress and completed — across all versions.
Q. What does “Break Pages” mean when printing?
A. When enabled, each page or section of the form starts on a new page in the PDF. If disabled, the form content flows continuously without breaks.
Q. Can I export just a selection of records instead of all?
A. Export to Excel always includes all records for the form. If you only need certain records, you can quickly filter them once you open the file in Excel.
Q. Are my downloaded files stored in IndyForms?
A. No. PDFs or Excel files you download are only saved locally on your device. However, all digital form records are stored securely and indefinitely in IndyForms, with no storage limits.
