Basic Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Restart Both Devices

    • Turn the vehicle off, open the door to fully shut down Uconnect.

    • Restart your phone.

  2. Forget & Re-Pair Devices

    • On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings > Find “Uconnect” > Tap “Forget Device.”

    • On the Uconnect screen:
      Settings > Phone/Bluetooth > Remove your phone from paired devices.

    • Re-pair the phone:
      Phone > Add Device > Follow prompts on both screens.

  3. Ensure Bluetooth Is On and Visible

    • Confirm Bluetooth is turned on and set to discoverable on your phone.

  4. Check for Software Updates

    • Phone: Make sure iOS or Android is up to date.

  5. Test with Another Phone

    • Try pairing a different phone. If it works, the issue may be with your original phone’s software or settings.


🔍 Advanced Tips

  • Delete Old Devices from Uconnect

    • Uconnect can store a limited number of devices. Delete unused ones to prevent conflicts.

  • Clear Bluetooth Cache (Android only)

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Show System > Bluetooth > Storage > Clear Cache & Data.

  • Disable Battery Optimization for Bluetooth (Android)

    • Settings > Apps > Bluetooth > Battery > Turn off optimization or set to unrestricted.


🛠 If Nothing Works

  • Factory Reset Uconnect

    • Go to Settings > System Information > Reset to Factory Defaults.
      ⚠️ This will erase all personal settings.
