All Uconnect radios besides 2 of the older models that we no longer support have an anti-theft code. It's a 4 digit number generated based off of the serial number of the radio.
If the customer receives a radio that didn't come with the anti-theft code, it can be a little tricky to get the serial number. As the anti-theft code entry screen will consistently pop up.
So bypass this, the radio needs to be put into DEALER MODE. Dealer mode can be accessed by clicking the X on the code entry screen on the top right, then carefully do not touch anything else on the touch screen.
While the code entry screen is not present, quickly press and hold 3 specific buttons on the dash bezel below the radio. TEMP UP and TEMP DOWN, and FRONT DEFROST at the same time for about 5-10 seconds.
DEALER MODE should pop up. Once it's there, click "System Information" then "Radio Part Information" and the serial number should be present in that menu.
We will need the serial number from the radio unit in this menu if it's not possible to find the serial number sent to the customer.
If this results in failure, the radio will need to come back.
