Features

FCA introduced this RE2 8.4-inch touchscreen system in 2011 to the Dodge Charger, Journey, and Chrysler 300. The only difference between the 8.4N RB5 and the 8.4 RE2 is the RB5 offers GPS navigation & Sirius Traffic/Travel Link and the RE2 does not. Infotainment.com has mastered the concept of installing this system into a vehicle (which didn't come equipped with this option from the factory) in an easy-to-install pre-programmed plug & play package.

RE2 - Designed for ROW (rest of world, export). Replaced the REZ in 2010, manufactured by ME. 2010 - 2012 models are nearly identical. 2013+ models introduced a darker background designed to reduce eye strain. Requires a 4-digit antitheft code.

Connections: Left to right:

White Fakra = AM/FM Antenna.

Yellow/Curry Fakra = Sirius XM Antenna.

Black & Gray = Micro USB port.

If you're upgrading from the 4.2-inch system to either of our 8.4-inch systems you must have the AUTO button on your climate control panel. If you do not have the AUTO button you will need to purchase a separate programmer in order to enable the feature. See our OBD Genie C-ACC Programmer. To ensure proper functionality when upgrading, start by verifying if your vehicle has the AUTO climate button. This button is essential for automatic climate control compatibility. If the button is absent, you will need an auto climate programmer to activate the necessary features. If the icon is grayed out and cannot be activated after adding the programming for auto climate, then the HVAC module needs to be replaced with a new one with newer firmware. These can be purchased from your local dealership. Follow steps 1 and 2 before ordering, steps 3 and 4 will follow after receiving your order:

The RB5 system requires a GPS signal to utilize the embedded GPS navigation feature. If your vehicle is currently equipped with Sirius satellite radio then the GPS signal can be obtained from the factory installed roof mounted Sirius antenna 100% plug & play. If your vehicle is not currently equipped with Sirius satellite radio then you must purchase our standalone GPS Antenna separately (for those who don't care to subscribe to Sirius satellite radio) or purchase our Custom SiriusXM GPS Antenna Kit (for those who would like to subscribe to Sirius satellite radio). If your current radio features Sirius® Travel Link and Sirius® Traffic it will be retained with the RB5 upgrade. If you would like to add this feature to the RB5, simply purchase our OBD Genie C-STL Programmer.

The RE2 system does not require a GPS signal and Sirius satellite radio is completely optional. However, if you would like to add this feature simply purchase our Magnetic SiriusXM Antenna.

Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle's existing steering wheel mounted audio controls.

Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle's existing UConnect® bluetooth hands-free calling feature. Unfortunately upgrading to bluetooth hands-free calling is no longer an option through Mopar.

Pre-programmed to function with your vehicle's existing roof-mounted SiriusXM® satellite radio antenna. If you do not have this feature you will need to add our Custom SiriusXM GPS Antenna Kit to utilize both satellite radio and GPS navigation. If your current radio features Sirius® Travel Link and Sirius® Traffic it will be retained with the RB5 upgrade. If you would like to add this feature to the RB5, simply purchase our OBD Genie C-STL Programmer.
