Following this simple instructions is the first steps to getting you back on the road with all the new modifications.
My OBDGenie is not doing anything. No lights appear when plugged in, I can't tell if it's getting power.
Turn the vehicle off.
Unplug the OBDGenie
Verify nothing else is occupying the factory OBDII port, and try the OBDGenie again.
If still no power, check the fuse box by the battery
Fuse numbers can vary depending on the vehicle, but you want to check the fuse box lid diagram for "Diagnostic Port"
If the fuse is blown, replace the fuse and try the OBDGenie again.
If the fuse is fine or a replaced fuse (same amperage) still results in the OBDGenie still not lighting up, contact Customer Support for an exchange of the OBDGenie.
If the exchanged OBDGenie still doesn't get a light, then it's possible the vehicle may have an issue with the OBDII Port.
My OBDGENIE keeps flashing blue lights.
Turn the vehicle off.
Unplug the OBDGENIE and wait 10 seconds.
After the 10 seconds restart the vehicle or turn your ignition to have your radio/accessories on.
Wait about 1 minute with vehicle on accessory mode while all of the vehicle systems come on.
Plug in the OBD GENIE to the OBD II port and verify is properly plugged in.
If you still see a flashing blue lights, proceed to try above process again but with the engine all the way on & running.
Once OBD Genie gives you a solid green light, remove OBD Genie from OBD II port & turn off vehicle for 5 minutes. (If you have a push to start key fob, make sure the key is away from the vehicle for 5 minutes)
Important: Never start the vehicle with the OBD Genie plugged in, this will damage the OBD Genie.
Also make sure you have no third-party/aftermarket components installed in the OBD II port like for example an aftermarket remote start or any components tapped into the OBD II port for performance data. Remove anything plugged into the OBD II port then proceed to use the OBD Genie to program.
Note: A solid green light indicates success.

If you have a 2018+ Chrysler, Dodge, Ram or Jeep Vehicle, you will need to install a Security Bypass Module:

That bypass module is plugged into the vehicle, before turning on the vehicle and is needed or the genie will not work correctly.
