When upgrading the infotainment system in a 2011-2014 Dodge Charger, 2011-2014 Chrysler 300, or a 2011-2020 Dodge Journey, varying parts may be needed.
When upgrading from the 4.3" REB system, a climate panel, 8.4" screen, radio module, and dash bezel to accommodate the 8.4" display is required, and those parts are not included with just the radio module unless the full 8.4" upgrade kit is ordered.
The RE2 is the radio module that goes to an 8.4" screen (if ordered as a full kit) that does not feature navigation, while the RB5 is the radio module that goes to an 8.4" screen (if ordered as a full kit) that does feature navigation.
If ordering an RE2 module by itself, it's under the condition that you are replacing your factory RE2 module because it is having issues. If ordering an RB5 module by itself, either you are upgrading from the RE2 to gain navigation with the RB5, or your factory RB5 unit is being replaced due to issues with it. When the module is ordered by itself, a screen is not included with it, it will only be the radio module. The RE2 does not include a screen if it's $399.95, and the RB5 does not include a screen if it's $599.95.
The full upgrade will never be $399.95, as that is just the cost of the RE2 module, and neither would it be $599.95, as that is just the cost of the RB5 module. If you need the entire upgrade, including the bezel, screen, and climate panel, please find the RB5 upgrade listing for your vehicle and state that you have the smaller screen on the drop down menus to accurately find the price.
