  3. Wait 30 seconds.

  4. Reconnect power.

  5. Turn the ignition ON and allow the system to boot up.

Master Reset Procedure

*Caution* - Performing this reset may deactivate your FordPass account (if equipped). To avoid this, temporarily disconnect your TCU (telematics control unit) prior to proceeding with the reset procedure.

  1. Tap Settings in the feature bar at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Select General (you may need to swipe to the next page).

  3. Scroll down and select Reset.

  4. Select Master Reset.

  5. When prompted that all settings will be erased and restored to factory defaults, tap Continue.

  6. The screen will display “Resetting to factory defaults,” then go blank.

  7. Allow several minutes for the system to complete the reset and return to normal operation.

Sync 4 Engineering Menu

To access the Ford SYNC 4 hidden engineering/diagnostic menu, start your vehicle, ensure the radio is on (FM/AM), and simultaneously hold down the Volume Down and Seek Right/Next Track buttons on the steering wheel or console for about 5–10 seconds.

* On some models, you might need to hold the volume button down and the seek left button, or perform a SYNC reboot first.

GPS Satellite Reception Bars can be located in the Testing Settings menu under Reception.
