Adding an email step to your sales Sequence is a simple way to keep your outreach consistent and effective. In this article, we’ll walk you through exactly how to add an email step, whether you’re creating a new Sequence or updating an existing one.
To add an Email Step to your Sequence, click on the Sequence and select +Add Step, then Email.
Here are the steps you need to follow to get your Email ready for sending:
The first Email of your Sequence will always default to New Thread. You can set the remainder of the Emails in the Sequence to either start a New Thread or to Reply to the previous Email in the Sequence.
Enter your Subject Line - don't forget to make sure it's catchy, attractive, and relevant for the recipient!
Adding default recipients allows you to Cc or Bcc one or multiple Email addresses in all of the Emails you send as part of the email Step.
The large white box is for the body of your email. You can use the icons at the bottom to change the format of the text, add in HTML format, add hyperlinks, add images, personalize parts of the text with variables, add a Template or add an attachment.
To use one of your AI Personas click Write with AI and have your email generated for you. once the text is added you can always make changes by adding or deleting sections of the text.
Set your Sending Mode to Automatic or Manual. If you choose the Manual option, you will get a notification in your Task Manager where you will need to select Send and Review Next for each Email before they will send.
Choose your Waiting Interval to determine the period of time between the previous step and when the current step should be sent. Your Waiting Interval can either be a period of minutes, hours or days, or a combination if you choose.
Click Send a Test Email to verify that you're happy with the layout and format of your email. Click Save as Template to save the email incease you want to use the same messaging again.
Once you're satisfied with your Email hit the Save button. Repeat this process as many times as needed to ensure you have the right number of Email Steps.
💡Tip: Some beat practices are reporting that it can take 13 touches for a Prospect to engage with you. So make sure each message you send adds value and remains relevant to the recipient to increase your chances of getting a response!
