Let's add a GMP amendment to our recently executed initial contract.

Step 1:To get started, head over to the "Amendments" section and click on "Create an Off-System Amendment."

There are two types of amendments to choose from. First, the "Intermediate Amendment" is used when making miscellaneous changes to the Initial Contract before finalizing your GMP. This amendment is also considered the Original Contract until you execute the "Final Amendment." Once the "Final Amendment" is executed with the GMP, the Original Contract is created and can only be modified through a formal Change Order.

For this guide, we'll select the "Intermediate Amendment." If you're familiar with performing change orders, these steps will look quite similar.

Step 2: Fill out the amendment details

Fill out the title, select the vendor, add the source, include the amendment description, and specify the schedule impact.

Step 3: Fill out the cost details

Now, let's navigate to the cost details section and add quoted items for this amendment. Choose an existing quoted item, such as "electrical," and provide the description, unit of measure, quantity, and unit price. Once the cost details are filled out, click "Save as Vendor Submission."

Step 4. Approval process

Next, proceed through the approval process and execute this intermediate amendment.

Step 5: Review Contract Summary

Return to the contract summary, and you'll find the intermediate amendment listed under the initial contract section. The "Adjusted Initial Contract Amount" now includes the amendments.
