An Overview of the Banking Section

A guide to each page in the Banking section, including Accounts, Register, Journal Entries, Repeating, Reconciliation Status, CC Disputes, and Payroll Import.

The Banking section in Inn-Flow is where you manage bank and credit card accounts, record and reconcile transactions, and post journal entries. Each page below is covered in its own guide.

• Accounts – outlines the features available on the Accounts page, where your bank and credit card accounts are set up.

• Register – the running list of recent bank activity. Here you add deposits, transfers, and withdrawals, and reconcile the account (a register is the ledger of every transaction for one account).

• Journal Entries – create, edit, and import journal entries. A journal entry is a manual posting to the GL (General Ledger, the master record of all accounting activity).

• Repeating – shows all repeating (recurring) entries that have been set up. These can be edited and deleted.

• Reconciliation Status – shows the status of every bank and credit card reconciliation by month.

• CC Disputes – create credit card chargebacks and disputes, upload backup, and print the documentation to provide to the merchant processor.

• Payroll Import – manually import payroll using a set template that brings in payroll wages and the related bank transactions.
