How to import reviews?

Bringing existing reviews into ReviewsPro from AliExpress, Amazon, a CSV file or another review app, and undoing an import.

Written by Arsalan Ali

Importing gives your product pages social proof straight away, instead of waiting for your own customers to review. Open Import in the left menu to see every way to bring reviews in. Every import can be undone.

Import from AliExpress or Amazon

  1. Go to Import and choose AliExpress or Amazon.

  2. Paste the product link and click Fetch reviews. It takes about 10 seconds.

  3. Check which Shopify product the reviews will be added to. Click Change to pick a different one.

  4. Choose which reviews to bring in. You can filter by star rating, photos or videos, country, review date and number of reviews (up to 500 per import), and turn on Only reviews with text, Verified purchases only or Translate to English.

  5. Click Import (the button shows how many reviews you selected). When it finishes you will see how many were imported, skipped or failed.

Good to know: Amazon import is part of the Pro plan. On Starter you can import up to 10 reviews per product.

Import from a CSV file

  1. Go to Import → CSV upload.

  2. Click Download template if you need a starting point, then upload your file (UTF-8, up to 20 MB and 50,000 rows).

  3. Match your columns to ReviewsPro’s. Each row needs a product handle or SKU, a rating from 1 to 5 and the review text. Reviewer name, date, photo URLs and email are optional; an email marks the review as a verified buyer.

  4. Fix any rows ReviewsPro flags, or skip them.

  5. Choose how to publish the imported reviews: publish 4★ and 5★ and hold the rest, publish all, or hold all for review.

  6. Click Import.

Move from another review app

Switching from Judge.me, Loox, Yotpo, Stamped, Ali Reviews or Okendo? Go to Import → Other review apps, choose the app, paste its private API token (ReviewsPro shows where to find it), then click Connect & preview and Start migration. For any other app, export a CSV from it and use CSV import.
