Where can I customize my product reviews?

Using Widgets in ReviewsPro to choose, design, place and publish the review widgets on your Shopify store.

Written by Arsalan Ali

Open Widgets in the left menu to choose how reviews appear on your store. There are 14 widgets, from the product reviews section and star ratings to carousels, galleries and trust badges. They match your theme automatically.

The banner at the top shows whether ReviewsPro is switched on in your theme. If it says App embed is off, click Turn on app embed, then click Save in the Shopify theme editor.

Customize a widget

Click a widget to open the editor. The preview updates as you make changes, and you can switch between Desktop and Mobile.

  • Design: layout (list, grid or masonry), card style, colors, font, star style, spacing, corner radius, and what to show, such as the rating summary, photos and verified badges.

  • Content: the headings and button labels shoppers see.

  • Placement: which pages the widget appears on, where on the page, whether it shows on desktop and mobile, and whether to hide it until a product has 3 or more reviews.

Save and publish

Click Save draft to keep your changes without showing them, or Publish to put them live. Published changes reach your store in about 30 seconds. Click View on store to check.

Move a widget on the page

Click Open theme editor on the Widgets page. Each widget is a ReviewsPro app block that you can drag anywhere in your theme. If you use a custom theme, Placement → Copy snippet gives you code your developer can add.

Widgets that need Pro

Photo gallery, Video gallery, UGC media grid, Review pop-up and Cart drawer reviews can be edited on any plan, but publishing them needs Pro or higher.

Change the look everywhere at once

Your logo, colors and font for all widgets and emails are in Settings → Branding. Click Re-sync from theme to copy them from your Shopify theme again.

Tip: hiding a widget until a product has a few reviews avoids an empty review section on new products, which can look like a lack of demand.
