Open Speed Optimization
In your Shopify admin, go to Apps → AI SEO App.
Select Speed Optimization in the app menu.
What is on the page
Each card is one feature, with a short description and a button to open or enable it:
Instant Speed card (Instant Click) — preloads links immediately when customers hover over them, so your store feels instantly fast. Click Configure to open it.
Image optimization — compresses the size of your store images to make your pages lighter and faster.
Preload Key Theme Assets — improves load speed by automatically preloading essential JS, CSS and font files from your theme. Click Enable to turn it on.
Core Web Vitals — displays real-world user experience data for your store's performance, so you can see day-to-day results and act on them.
Keyword Research — generates keyword ideas for your business with search volume and competition data. Click Configure to open it.
The order we recommend
Enable Preload Key Theme Assets. One click, no downside, and it helps the very first page a visitor sees.
Configure Instant Click. Another one-click change that makes moving between pages feel immediate.
Run Image Optimization. This is the biggest win on most stores, because images are usually the heaviest part of a page.
Check Core Web Vitals. Come back after a week or two of real traffic to see the effect of the first three steps.

None of these features require you to edit your theme code.
Every feature can be switched off again from its own page.
Core Web Vitals uses a rolling 28-day window of real visitor data, so allow time before judging the impact of a change.
