If reviews aren’t showing on your store, go through these checks in order. Most of the time it’s the first one.
1. Turn on the ReviewsPro app embed
Go to Widgets. The banner at the top tells you whether ReviewsPro is switched on in your theme.
Connected to your theme and App embed is on: you’re set. Go to check 2.
App embed is off: click Turn on app embed. Your Shopify theme editor opens with ReviewsPro selected under App embeds. Click Save in the top right of Shopify.
Changed or duplicated your theme? The app embed has to be on in the theme that is live, so check it again after switching themes.
2. Check the widget is published
Each widget shows Live, Live · edited or Draft. A draft isn’t on your store yet: open it and click Publish. Published changes take about 30 seconds to appear. Live · edited means you have changes that aren’t published yet.
3. Check where the widget is set to appear
Open the widget and go to Placement. Check which pages it appears on, whether it shows on desktop and mobile, and whether Hide until product has 3+ reviews is on. With that option on, products with fewer reviews show no widget.
4. Check the product has published reviews
Only published reviews appear on your store. In Reviews → Manage reviews, look at the Pending tab for reviews waiting for approval.
5. Check your plan
Photo gallery, Video gallery, UGC media grid, Review pop-up and Cart drawer reviews need Pro or higher to publish. If your plan has ended, widgets are hidden from your store until you subscribe again.
Using a custom or heavily edited theme? In the widget’s Placement tab, Copy snippet for custom themes gives your developer code to add the widget by hand.
