Logging out and locking your workstation
Updated over a week ago

If you leave your computer for more than a few moments, log out of the TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR). This way, no unauthorized users can access patient data, and other staff members cannot mistakenly enter data under your name.

⚠️ Important: Logging out of the CHR does not lock the entire workstation. If you have other files or applications running on your workstation, those may still be accessible. To lock your Windows workstation, click Windows + L. To lock your Mac workstation, click Control-Command-Q.

💡 Tip: You can configure your account to automatically log you out after a period of inactivity (Settings > Security > Timeout Duration). For more information, see Modifying user security settings.

Step

  • From the top-left corner of the CHR, click your profile image and select Logout.
