💥 Improvements 💥

1. Applying conditions to appointment types.

Imagine only having certain patients be able to request appointments online for certain types of appointments (e.g. only patients participating in a specific program in your clinic can book appointments for that program). This is now possible!

You can apply conditions to appointment types to restrict a patient from eBooking a specific type of appointment if certain conditions haven't been met. For example, you can apply a condition to a COVID-19 vaccine second dose, that doesn't allow a patient to book this appointment if they haven't had a first dose.

2. Sending your referred patients customized notifications on the status of their referral, using referral actions.

Do patients frequently contact your clinic asking for the status of a referral?

You can now inform your referred patients (existing and new) about their referral status by sending them an automated and customizable email and/or SMS using the CHR referral management module.

We have added three referral actions that can be added to an incoming referral status: Referral Accepted, Referral Received, and Referral Rejected.

For more information on configuring these actions for your clinic, see Configuring incoming referral statuses. For more information on how to customise referral notifications, see Customising patient referral notifications.

3. Ability to see a history of previously selected pharmacies (facilities) when faxing a prescription.

Patients frequently do not have a preferred pharmacy and ask to pick up prescriptions at multiple locations due to their current situation (e.g. pharmacy 1 is close to my work, pharmacy 2 is close to my child’s school).

We have therefore added a Fax History button that appears when faxing a prescription to a certain facility. When you click Fax History, a window appears allowing you to view the last 10 pharmacies (facilities) that were used when you faxed a prescription. See Faxing Prescriptions for more details.

🐛 ⚒️ Bug Fixes 🐛 ⚒️

Below is a list of bugs we have identified and fixed in this release. For more details on the below-mentioned items, contact our TELUS Health support team.

  • A bug that was observed by patients when entering their date of birth on the patient portal on mobile devices was fixed. When patients log into the portal they will no longer see two calendars when asked to enter their date of birth.

  • Previously, when creating an insured payment without payment issuer it showed an error without any message. An error message now appears when the payment issuer is missing.

  • Previously, archived insured payments, billing items, and transactions were deleted from the CHR database. When archiving them now, they are saved to the CHR database.

  • Previously, when adding a patient to your system from the inbox with patient identification containing a hyphen, slack, or space, an error message would appear (identification contains invalid characters). The user could override this by clicking save. Two identical patient charts were however created. We have fixed this. Users cannot override the error message and therefore have to delete any invalid character (space, hyphen, slash) before saving the patient. This prevents any duplicate patient charts.
