Archiving patient forms
Updated over a week ago

To address your patients' ongoing safety, you can archive forms directly from patient charts. This is helpful to keep the list of active forms in a patient chart shorter and to better keep track of all active forms in a chart. Within the Patient Forms area of the chart, active forms appear in the Active tab while archived forms appear in the Archived tab.

If needed, you can later reactivate archived forms to return them to the list of active forms.

Steps

To archive a form

1. Open the patient's chart.

2. Click Start/Open > Forms. The list of active patient forms appears.

3. Click the Archive icon.

💡 Tip: You can also archive forms while viewing them. In the top-right corner, click Archive.

To view fax or modification history or to restore archived forms

1. Click the Archive tab. A list of archived forms appears.

2. In the Actions column, you can perform the following actions without opening the form.

Field

Description

Open Fax History

Click to view the fax and print history of the form. Any failed faxes show.

Modification History

Click to see any updates made to the form. The updates appear with the user name and a timestamp.

Restore

To restore a form, under the Actions column, click the restore icon.

When prompted to confirm, click OK.

💡 Tip: You can also restore archive forms while you are viewing them. In the top-right corner, click Restore.
