PEI lab integration with Cerner
Updated over a week ago

In PEI, the TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) integrates with Cerner. Providers who are registered CHR users and are set up to receive results in Cerner are automatically set up to receive labs by the PEI program. This includes:

  • Diagnostic imaging reports

  • Transcribed documents (ER reports)

  • Discharge summaries

  • Lab results

With this integration, Cerner lab results are securely transmitted to your CHR inbox. You can share the electronic lab results with other CHR users at your clinic and with your patient through our encrypted messaging tool. For more information see, Viewing electronic lab reports.

⚠️ Important: Labs are routed based on the provider's billing number. Ensure that all billing numbers are entered accurately in the providers profiles. For more information, see Updating your user profile information.

If you are not receiving labs, please contact your PEI EMR Advisor or the TELUS Health support team through the support chat. See Contact us.
