Defining Drivers
Drivers are the components used to break larger Projects into clear, manageable pieces. They’re typically created and organized within a Project.
Integrate offers four types of drivers:

Tip: You can nest drivers within drivers infinitely.
There are 2 methods to create drivers.
Method 1 - Using the Card
In the card, go to the
section.
From the drivers menu in the card you can create any of the four types of driver and set the start/target date, and duration.
Tip: All drivers created from the card will be automatically nested under that item.
Tip: check out how to navigate the Gantt with this article.
Method 2 - Using the Omnibar
Start by selecting the Project/Driver you want to add a driver under.
Once you select the 'Create new nested' you will see this dialogue box:
Note: The Gantt will provide a preview of the task.
Confirm by clicking on
Personalizing and Editing a Driver
From the card you can do a number of changes to the driver:
Lock dates to stop accidental schedule shifts.
Unlock dates if it’s time to update or your project has a flexible timeline.
Attributes allows you to change the driver type.
Tip: Only the owner of an item can lock or unlock the dates, and change attributes on an card.
Updating Status
You can update a driver status via a number of methods.

Task: Captures the work that needs to be completed. They often roll up to a Milestone, and can be linked to a Requirement to provide clear evidence that the work was delivered.
Milestone: A major checkpoint that indicates meaningful progress. Use it to group the Drivers that contribute to the outcome, or link Tasks to it with Dependencies to keep scheduling accurate. Milestones are the only driver that can be displayed on the project bar using 'Milestones on Row' display feature.
Requirement: A defined standard or obligation that remains visible in the plan. Requirements show up on the Gantt/Timeline, connect to Tasks and Milestones, and require dates so they can be scheduled (even if approximate). They can be shared for verification with internal teams or external partners, often with evidence attached.
Component: A simple way to bundle related Drivers under one umbrella. Add approximate dates, an owner, and a status to keep visibility high across the team.
