Easily create wallets and award your customers with store credit in bulk.

What is the bulk store credit tool

Our tool allows you to award your customers with store credit or adjust their existing store credit balances in bulk. Whilst our automatic flows reward your customers based on their activity, this tool allows you to reward your customers at any time (without them having to meet the specific conditions set up in the flows).



What the bulk Store Credit tool can be used for

  1. Campaigns: create store credit campaigns to re-engage customers and generate more revenue. Read how Dr Squatch did so here.

  2. Update customers’ existing store credit balances in bulk.

  3. Migrate existing store credit and balances.



How to use the Bulk Store Credit tool?

To begin using the Bulk Store Credit tool, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Bulks tab in the Rise dashboard.


    Here, you’ll find an overview of the various purposes and presets for using the Bulk tool.

2. Click on the Issue Bulk button located in the top-right corner of the screen to get started.

The available options will appear again, allowing you to select a custom option or start fresh by clicking on “Start from Scratch.”

3. Next, you’ll see two types of bulk issues you can create: gift cards and store credit.

Click on the Store Credit option and then select "Next" to proceed.

Prepare Your File:

Click on "Download the Rise CSV template file" to download the template. The file will be an empty template containing the required columns to input the necessary information:

The file contains a few columns to fill in. Some are mandatory and some are optional.

  • Customer name & Customer email: you can leave the ‘Customer name’ field blank; however, ‘Customer email’ is mandatory.

  • Balance: This column is mandatory. Insert the gift card value without currency symbol - i.e, only digits (no other characters).
    ** Note: $0.01 is the lowest amount you can set.

  • Expires on: Insert expiration date in the requested format, or leave blank if you do not want the store credit to expire.
    ** Ensure there is no confusion between the day and the month, based on the required template (DD/MM/YYYY).

  • Note: This message is visible only to you and appears under the Customer Wallet section on customer pages:

*You can upload up to 10,000 wallets at once. If you are planning to create a large number of wallets (over 10K), it's best to reach out to us beforehand. Also, it's important to note that exceptionally large files may take more time to upload, so we recommend uploading a few days before the target date.


*Please make sure you do not move, reorder, or rename any columns, or else the uploading of the file will not be accepted.

Upload your edited CSV file:

Upload your final file.

If the file does not match the exact criteria for the Bulk to work, an error will show:

If so, make sure to edit the file as requested and upload again.

If the file is ready to load, you will see it approved:

Click "Next" to continue.

Details:

Fill in the finalized details of the current Bulk:

  • Bulk name: Name the Bulk.

  • Description: Describe the bulk for your internal notes.

  • Mark wallets as liability: choose this option if you would like the generated wallets to be counted as part of your liability within your Rise.ai reporting.

Click next to continue.

Review & Issue:

In this step, you can review the bulk before uploading. Make sure everything is correct before issuing.

When ready, click the "Issue Bulk" button.

When uploading the bulk file, a notification will appear on the screen to confirm the upload.

While running, the status of the bulk will be "Pending", and when ready, it will be "Issued":

A confirmation email will be sent to the email address written in the notification above.

That's it! The bulk is now uploaded and complete!

To review the files, click on the button at the end of the row and download the desired file:

**Note that while the Bulk is in "Pending" Status, clicking the button at the end of the bulk row will display a "Stop" option.


You can choose "Stop" to stop the bulk from running, but note that wallets that were already created are active and can be found in the 'Wallets' tab.


How you can send emails with bulk created codes

The bulk Store credit creation tool does not initiate a Rise.ai email to your customers.

To notify your customers about what was issued for them using the bulk tool, you can export a CSV file with the relevant details, upload it to your emails tool, and inject the data from the file into dedicated placeholders within the email template.


The bulk tool pricing

Bulk campaigns are available exclusively from the Pro plan and above.

Here are the upload limits and costs based on your plan:


Pro Plan:

  • An upload of 250 codes per month is included in the plan.

  • If exceeded, a $0.2 fee will be issued per additional code.

Premium plan:

  • An upload of 1,500 codes per month is included in the plan..

  • If exceeded, a $0.1 fee will be issued per additional code.

Enterprise Plan:

  • Please check with your Account Manager.

** If you're using the bulk tool for a one-time loyalty migration from another platform, please reach out to the Support team so it's considered, with reference to the tool pricing.
