Multi Store Solution for Store Credit and Gift Cards

Learn how to Rise.ai's multi store solution works, and how to set up your loyalty or gift card program so it will work across multiple stores

What is Multi-Store?

The Multi-Store Solution enables you to operate a unified loyalty program that works across multiple stores. This allows customers to redeem credit and earn rewards at all of your store locations.


How to set up Rise with multiple stores

Before setting up multi-store, please speak with your account manager so the team can prepare and provide detailed instructions.

  1. Download Rise on all stores that will be included under the same account.

  2. Send your account manager a list of the stores you’d like linked.

  3. Once we link the stores on our end, you’ll be able to customize the loyalty program you’d like to run across them.


How it works

Because Rise's wallets are attached to the customer's store account which is different in each store, customers do not have the option to have a single Rise.ai wallet linked to all their accounts across different stores. As a result, the credit accumulated from purchases in each store is associated with a unique code specific to that store.

However, with the implementation of the Multi-Store Solution, customers gain the ability to redeem the credit received on a specific code in all connected stores. This means that even though the code is not directly linked to their account in a particular store, they can still utilize it for redemption in stores where it was not initially issued.

For instance, let's consider the example of Betty. She receives $10 credit in store A, resulting in the creation of a wallet attached to her account in store A, with the code ABC123. If Betty visits store B, she can use code ABC123 to redeem the credit she received in store A.


Setting up your Cashback/Loyalty Program

To create a unified loyalty program that functions across all your stores, set up the loyalty program in your Rise dashboard. The program will automatically take effect in all connected stores.

  • To create a Cashback program: Go to the Cashback tab and set up the program as desired. For more information, visit the Cashback Program Setup Guide.

  • To design a custom rewards workflow: Navigate to Store Credit > Workflows, then customize the workflow to create your desired loyalty plan.

When a customer receives credit to their wallet from one store, they will be able to redeem the credit in all stores.

You can monitor Store Credit activity by navigating to Store Credit > Customer Wallets, selecting a specific customer wallet, and then choosing a particular line of issued credit. A drawer will open, where you can view the Source information at the bottom.


Setting up your Gift Cards

With Rise Multi Store, you can create a unique gift card product for each store, while still allowing customers to redeem their gift cards across all connected stores.

How to create and customize Gift Card products for each store:

  1. Access the Gift Card Settings: Go to the Rise.ai Dashboard > Navigate to Gift Cards.

  2. Select the Store to Customize: Click the Settings icon (gear symbol) at the top of the Gift Cards page. A list of all your connected stores will appear. Choose the specific store you want to customize the Gift Card for.

  3. Create or Edit the Gift Card Product: Customize the Gift Card product for the selected store. Important: Make sure to repeat this process for each store in your network to ensure every storefront has its own Gift Card product.

  4. Monitor Gift Cards by Store: Use the filter tool on the Gift Cards page to view and manage Gift Cards issued by each specific store.

    Select your desired store to see only relevant gift cards.


Customizing Assets in different URLs

Rise.ai empowers brands with multi-store flexibility by allowing you to customize Gift Card and Store Credit assets uniquely for each of your connected URLs. This ensures a seamless, on-brand customer experience across all your digital storefronts.

How to customize assets for different URLs:

  1. Navigate to Assets: Go to the Rise.ai Dashboard > Select the Assets tab > choose On Site.

  2. Choose Your Storefront URL: At the top of the page, use the URL selector to pick the storefront for which you want to customize assets.

  3. Select Asset: Switch between the Gift Cards and Store Credits tabs to access and edit the relevant assets for each channel.

  4. Customize Assets: Ensure you are customizing the correct asset for the intended store.

Bulk uploads on Multi-store

Whether you’re migrating from a previous platform or creating holiday gift cards for your staff, you can effortlessly upload a bulk of Gift Cards or Store Credit using Rise’s Bulk Import tool.

Once a bulk is uploaded to your Rise account, all codes will be available and redeemable across every store connected to Rise, ensuring a seamless multi-store experience.

To upload a bulk:

  1. Gather all codes and customer information for those you’d like to issue Gift Cards or Store Credit to.

  2. Navigate to the Rise.ai Dashboard > Bulks.

  3. Use the Bulk Import tool to upload a CSV file with the relevant information. Map the fields according to the tool’s prompts, ensuring each customer receives the correct credit.

  4. Once the process is complete, your customers’ Wallets and Gift Cards will be ready for use and redemption across all URLs and storefronts connected to your Rise.ai account.
