Getting Started: The Rise.ai Loyalty Suite

With Rise.ai, you can build a loyalty program that rewards your customers with store credit for the actions that matter most to your business.

Unlike traditional points-based programs, every reward your customers earn lands in their Rise.ai wallet as real store credit. That means customers can redeem their rewards instantly at checkout, without translating points into value or navigating a separate redemption flow.

Find out what can be set up and customized within your Rise.ai dashboard’s loyalty section - the entry point for discovering, activating, and tracking every loyalty activity your store offers.

Navigating the Loyalty Section

To get started, click Loyalty in the left navigation menu of your Rise.ai dashboard. This page serves as your home base for managing and monitoring your loyalty strategy.

The Loyalty page is organized into four key areas, designed to help you oversee your program at a glance:

  • Loyalty Performance: Located at the top of the page, this provides an aggregated view of your program’s impact across all active loyalty activities.

  • Your Loyalty Program: This section displays the Ways to Earn you have already activated, alongside a selection of recommended activities suggested specifically for your store.

  • Add another way to earn: A full catalog of additional ways to earn, thoughtfully grouped by the specific business goals they help you achieve.

Rewards Page Template: Found in the top-right corner, this button is a direct shortcut for setting up and customizing your customer-facing rewards page.

Activating and Configuring Ways to Earn

  1. Choose Your Activity: Browse the options in the Your Loyalty Program or Add another way to earn sections and click Set Up.

  2. Review the Modal: An explainer modal will appear with details on how that specific "Way to Earn" works. Click Set Up again to proceed or Cancel to go back.

  3. Configure Your Rules: Define your credit amounts, specific conditions (rules), expiration dates, and notification preferences.

  4. Save to Activate: Click Save or Activate to go live.

  5. Once you've saved, the way-to-earn card on the Loyalty page updates:

    • The 'Set Up' button is replaced by an on toggle (green check).

    • The card shows the configured reward inline — for example, "10% – 20% based on customer tier", "$20 for friends, $20 for referrers", or "$10 on yearly anniversary".

    • A 'View Stats' button appears on hover.

Important: there's no draft state for ways to earn. Saving from the configuration screen activates the way to earn immediately.

Exploring Available Ways to Earn

Rise.ai provides a variety of reward types, categorized into two sections: those recommended for a quick start and the full catalog for more specific needs.

Recommended Presets (under Your Loyalty Program):

  • Tiered Cashback: Reward customers based on how much they spend. The more they spend, the higher the cashback percentage they receive.

  • Anniversary: Issue & send store credit to customers on their yearly anniversary.

  • Referrals: Reward customers for referring in friends. (Clicking this will take you to the Referrals tab to finish the setup).

The Additional "Ways to Earn" Catalog:

This section includes more options, each labeled with the goal it helps you reach:

  • Cashback: Offer a flat reward for repeat purchases.

  • Mobile Pass: Reward customers credit for installing your store's mobile pass.

  • Birthday *: Grant your customers store credit as a birthday gift. (note: this requires connecting a marketing tool like Klaviyo)

  • Reviews *: Reward customers for providing feedback via your reviews platform. (note: this requires connecting a reviews app using a custom trigger)

  • Custom Trigger *: Use the Rise API to reward unique actions captured by a 3rd party app or tool.

Note: to reward customers for Birthday, Reviews, or to implement Custom Triggers, you must connect the external app or service provider you use for those services.

The tools for such implementation are included on our Enterprise plan.

Promoting Your Loyalty Program with Customer-Facing Assets

To drive higher customer conversion, it is important to provide clear visibility for the rewards you offer and how they can be redeemed. We recommend starting with the Rewards Page Template we’ve designed, and then reviewing other assets that can contribute to your customer experience.

Rewards Page Template:

  • A dedicated space on your site where customers see all ways to earn. Click the Rewards Page Template button in the top-right of the Loyalty page to begin.

  • You can customize the Rewards Page based on what you want to show, and choose some or all of the following sections: Store credit banner, Hero, Rewards Section, Referrer widget, Tier & Benefits Table, FAQ.

  • More information on this page customization can be found in this article.

Additional Assets:

  • Beyond the Rewards Page, you can implement other element like buttons, banners and widgets, to keep your program top-of-mind. To learn more about these options, visit our On-site Assets section in the Knowledge Base.

Tracking Your Loyalty Performance

The Loyalty performance panel at the top of the page shows the aggregated metrics across every active way to earn in your program. Use the time period selector in the top-right of the panel (e.g., 'Last 30 days') to adjust the reporting window.

The six metrics shown:

  • Credit Issued: the total store credit value issued by your loyalty program in the selected period.

  • Redemption Rate: the percentage of issued credit that your customers have redeemed.

  • Comeback Rate: the percentage of credited customers who returned to make a purchase.

  • Total Redeemed Value: the total store credit your customers have redeemed in the selected period.

  • Upsell: the additional revenue customers spent beyond the credit value they redeemed.

  • Return on Store Credit (ROSC): the revenue generated per $1 of store credit issued by your program.

Each metric includes an info (i) icon - so you can also hover over it for a short definition.

View Stats per Activity: the same six metrics are also available for each individual way to earn. Click the 'View Stats' button on an active way-to-earn card to see them.

Please note: loyalty metrics are powered by a 'Loyalty' tag that Rise.ai automatically applies to the actions of the ways to earn shipped with the program (Tiered Cashback, Cashback, Referrals, Anniversary, Install Wallet Pass).

If you build a custom workflow that issues store credit and you want it included in your loyalty performance, add the 'Loyalty' tag to the workflow's action — any future credit issued by that action will then be tracked in both the Loyalty performance panel and the per-activity stats.
