How to Manage Your Customers Gift Cards

How to track and manage the gift cards you've sold or issued.

How to search and view gift card details and customer information

You can search for a specific gift card using any of the following:

  • Order number

  • Full wallet code

  • The last four digits of the gift card code

Once you click on a specific gift card within 'Gift Card Sales', a dedicated gift card details page will open. On this page, you'll find more details, such as:

  • The order number

  • The source of the order

  • The sender's and the recipient's details

  • The gift card activity (including the orders in which the gift card was used)



How to Resend, Edit the Balance, Change the Expiration Date, or Disable a Gift Card


In the top-right corner of the gift card page, you'll see a More Actions menu. From here, you can:

  • Re-send Gift Card - Send the gift card again to the original recipient or a different email address.

  • Edit Balance - Adjust the remaining balance of the gift card.

  • Change Expiration - Update the expiration date of the gift card.

  • Disable Gift Card - Permanently disable the gift card, preventing it from being used in the future.

    • Note: Once a gift card is disabled, this action cannot be reversed.


How to manually issue a Gift Card

The option to manually send a gift card allows you to quickly issue gift cards directly to customers, whether as compensation, a reward, a contest prize, or for any other reason.

To get started:

Go to your Rise dashboard → Navigate to the Gift Cards tab → Select Gift Card Sales → Click Issue Gift Card.


Here’s what you’ll need to fill out when manually issuing a gift card:

  • Gift card amount – Enter the value you want to issue on the gift card.

  • Expiration settings (choose one):

    • Never expires - The gift card will remain valid indefinitely.

    • After a specific period of time - Set the card to expire a certain number of days after it’s issued.

    • On a specific date - Set a fixed expiration date.

  • Recipient name - Enter the recipient’s name here.

  • Recipient email address - Enter the recipient’s email here.

  • Greeting message – A personal message that will be included in the gift card email (e.g., “Enjoy your reward!”).

  • Sender details (optional):
    Use this section if you're issuing the gift card on behalf of a customer (e.g., for customer support or gifting).

    • Sender name – The name that will appear as the sender.

    • Sender email address – The sender’s email that will be included in the gift card email.


Click 'Issue Gift Card' once you've filled up all the relevant fields.
