How to send gift card emails through Klaviyo

Firstly, make sure that the integration is active. To learn how, check out this article.

In the Rise dashboard, go to the Notification tab → Gift cards → Toggle off the Gift Card Emails.


Please note that once this email is turned off, Klaviyo will handle sending gift card emails.


How to build your gift card flows in Klaviyo

Rise will automatically send the gift card email to the relevant recipient, based on how the gift card is issued:

  • If the customer uses the Send as a Gift pop-up, the recipient will receive the gift card email.

  • If the customer uses the Add to Cart option, the buyer will receive the gift card email.

This email flow can be created using a Rise-based trigger:

  • Rise.ai - Gift Card Created

To set it up, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new flow in Klaviyo → Select Build your own

2. Name your Flow


3. Choose to create a trigger using Your Metrics → Select API → Then select the trigger Rise.ai - Gift Card CreatedSave.

4. After setting up the trigger, you can drag the email option below it.

5. Here, you can select the template you wish to use and make sure to uncheck the Smart Sending option to ensure customers receive their gift card emails, then click Save.


6. Once you have set up the flow, ensure that the email is set to live.
