In this article, you will find:

Important to know - before you start

  • Firstly, make sure that the integration is active. To learn how, review this article.

  • Note that once you have set up everything within Klaviyo, you'll need to turn off the Rise.ai native emails. The instruction for that at the end of this article.

How to send Store Credit Emails through Klaviyo

Go to your Klaviyo dashboardFlowsBuild Your Own → Name your Flow.

Choose Your Metrics → select API.

Here, you’ll find four different triggers that send an email when the action occurs.

These triggers are:

  • Wallet action disabled: Sent when a customer's wallet is deactivated.(transaction?)

  • Wallet action expired: Sent when store credit expires.

  • Wallet action refund started: Sent when a refund process with store credit begins.

  • Wallet action reward started: Sent when a store credit reward is added to the wallet.

Select the trigger that is relevant to your flow → click Save → Drag the Email option below it.

Now, you can select the template you wish to use and make sure to uncheck the Smart Sending option to ensure customers receive their gift card emails, then click Save.

Make sure to turn the emails Live.

For email design, you can set up the email content using Event Properties.

Event Properties are linked to specific events, allowing the system to differentiate between each reward given. This ensures that emails are sent based on the context of the event.

In the email's text section, you can add Rise properties that include -

Reward value

{{ event.issued_credit_amount }}

Store Credit Expiration

{{ event.issued_credit_expiration }}

Recipient Email

{{ event.recipient_email }}

Recipient First Name

{{ event.recipient_first_name }}

Recipient Full Name

{{ event.recipient_full_name }}

Shop URL

{{ event.shop_url }}

Total Wallet Balance

{{ event.total_wallet_balance }}

Wallet Code

{{ event.wallet_code }}

Segmenting Emails by Workflow ID

With this option, you can choose to segment your emails based on the workflow ID of your flow, if you are using multiple workflows and want to set up separate emails for each.

To do so, in your flow add a Trigger split.

And in the settings, select workflow_idequals → add the workflow ID.

You can get the workflow ID from the URL of your workflow in the Rise dashboard:

Turning off the Rise.ai native emails once everything is set up on Klaviyo

In the Rise dashboard, go to the Notification tab → Store credit → Toggle off the Store Credit Emails.
