Why Tracking Marketing Metrics Matters

Investorlift tracks seven key marketing metrics that help you evaluate the effectiveness of your campaigns - from email delivery to spend. Understanding each one helps you make smarter decisions about targeting, messaging, and budget.

To view your metrics, go to the Properties tab in the admin panel, select a property from your listings, and click on it to see the detailed metrics breakdown.

The 7 Key Marketing Metrics

Here's what each metric tracks and why it matters for your campaigns.

1. Email Sent (Delivered)

Tracks the number of emails successfully sent and delivered to recipients' inboxes.

  • Confirms your message reached the recipient's mailbox.

  • Provides the baseline number of people who actually received your message.

2. Email Opens (Unique)

Tracks the number of individual recipients who opened your email.

  • Shows how many unique people engaged with your email.

  • Helps identify opportunities for personalization in future campaigns.

3. Email Clicks (Unique)

Tracks the number of unique recipients who clicked on links in your email.

  • Indicates the effectiveness of your email content and design.

  • Shows whether recipients are taking desired actions such as visiting your listing or making an inquiry.

4. Email Blocks / Spam Reports

Tracks when recipients either mark your email as spam or block future emails from you.

⚠️ Email providers closely monitor spam complaints. A poor sender reputation reduces your chances of successful email delivery. Keep this metric as low as possible by sending relevant, targeted messages.

5. SMS Sent (Delivered)

Tracks the number of SMS messages successfully delivered to recipients' mobile devices.

  • Confirms the message reached the recipient's device.

  • Does not guarantee the recipient has read the message - only that delivery was successful.

6. Unsubscribes from Email / SMS

Tracks the number of recipients who opted out of receiving further communication.

  • Indicates that recipients may find the content irrelevant or excessive.

  • High unsubscribe rates signal a need to adjust your messaging strategy or targeting.

7. Spent

Measures the total financial investment in advertising for a specific period.

  • Helps monitor and control campaign budgets.

  • Informs decisions about which channels or strategies deserve more resources.

  • Supports financial planning for future campaigns.

Best Practices for Campaign Management

To get the most out of your campaigns, keep these principles in mind:

  • Review all seven metrics regularly to spot trends and opportunities.

  • Use metric insights to adjust targeting, messaging, and channel strategies.

  • Maintain a strong sender reputation for better email and SMS deliverability.

The more consistently you track and act on these metrics, the more effective your campaigns will become.
