Why Buyer Quality Matters
As the Investorlift marketplace grows, so does the need to keep the buyer base trustworthy and accountable. Issues like daisy chaining, fake accounts, and non-performing buyers create friction in deals and damage the experience for serious sellers.
This guide walks you through the tools available on Investorlift to report bad actors, enforce buyer verification, and use reviews to build a higher-quality marketplace.
β
Step 1: Report Suspicious Buyers
You can report a buyer directly from multiple places on the platform. When submitting a report, you will be asked to choose a reason:
Daisy chainer
Robot
Did not perform on the closing
Tried to steal a deal
Other
Use any of the following methods to submit a report:
Option 1: From the Buyer Profile
Navigate to the Buyer Profile, select "Report Buyer" in the top right corner, and choose your reason.
β
Option 2: From the Buyers Tab
Find the buyer in question, click the three dots, and select "Report".
β
Option 3: From the Offers Tab
Go to the offer in question, click the three dots, and choose "Report".
β
Option 4: From Property Inquiries
Select the relevant inquiry, click the three dots, and opt to "Report".
β
Option 5: From God Mode
Locate the buyer linked to the Investorlift database, then select "Report".
β
Step 2: Buyer Phone Verification
Every buyer on Investorlift is required to verify their phone number before they can engage on the platform. Each account must be linked to a unique, valid number.
This measure is designed to eliminate:
Duplicate accounts
Fake profiles
Bots
The result is a safer, more trustworthy community for every seller on the platform.
β
Step 3: Use Two-Way Reviews
Two-Way Reviews allow both buyers and sellers to rate and review each other after a transaction, creating accountability and helping you make better decisions about who you work with.
The review system includes:
1β5 star rating system
Text reviews visible within the platform
Insights into professionalism, reliability, and transaction quality
By leveraging reviews, you can make more informed decisions before engaging - leading to a higher-quality buyer base and a more secure marketplace.

β Tips for Using These Tools Effectively
Report Early, Not Just After a Deal Falls Through
If you notice red flags during the inquiry or offer stage, such as requests to reassign the contract or unusual communication, report the buyer as soon as possible, not only after the deal collapses.
β
Leave Reviews After Every Transaction
Even positive reviews matter. A strong track record helps Investorlift surface high-quality buyers more prominently and gives other sellers valuable context before engaging.
β
Phone Verification Does Not Replace Reporting
Phone verification reduces fake accounts, but it does not catch every bad actor. Active reporting from the community is still the most effective tool for keeping the marketplace clean.
