Why Phone Verification Matters
Phone number verification is a critical security step that protects your Investorlift account from unauthorized access and ensures no one else can impersonate you on the platform.
It also allows you to receive deal alerts via SMS — so you're notified as soon as a property matching your Buy Box is listed. Completing this step takes less than 2 minutes and strengthens the security of the entire marketplace.
What Type of Phone Number Should I Use?
Phone verification on Investorlift requires a US, non-VoIP mobile number. Verification codes are delivered by SMS to that number, and we don't currently support any alternative verification method.
Numbers that will not work for verification:
VoIP services such as Google Voice, TextNow, MagicJack, or Skype
Landlines, which cannot receive SMS
Non-US phone numbers, including international mobile carriers
🌍 International buyers: Investorlift welcomes international investors, but phone verification still requires a US, non-VoIP number. Without verification, your account remains limited and you won't be able to fully interact with deals. If you obtain a US non-VoIP number in the future, you'll be able to complete verification and use the platform normally.
If you tried to verify and didn't receive a code, the most common cause is using a VoIP, landline, or non-US number. Switch to a US non-VoIP mobile number and try again.

Option 1: Verify at Login
The easiest way to verify your phone number is directly at login. When you sign in to Investorlift, a pop-up prompt will guide you through the process automatically.
Steps to Verify at Login
Log in at Investorlift.com. A pop-up will appear prompting you to verify your phone number.
Review and agree to the Terms of Service before proceeding.
Enter your phone number in the designated field.
Consent to receive texts (optional): Choose whether you'd like to receive SMS alerts about new deals matching your Buy Box.
Enter the verification code sent to your phone, then click Continue.
Add your location: Start typing and select the correct option from the dropdown. Click Save Buy Box.
Confirmation: A pop-up will confirm that your account is all set.
👉🏼 Once complete, your phone number is verified and your account is secured. You'll also start receiving deal alerts if you opted in.
Option 2: Verify Through Your Profile
You can also verify your phone number - or add and verify a second number - directly from your profile settings at any time.
Understanding Your Phone Number Icons
Navigate to your Profile to manage your phone numbers. Each number displays icons that help you understand its status:
A green checkmark means the number has been successfully verified.
A trash bin icon allows you to delete a phone number from your account.
A blue icon indicates which number is set to receive messages. If you have multiple numbers, click this icon to choose which one to use for deal notifications.
Adding and Verifying a Second Phone Number
If you want to add a second number to your account, follow these steps:
1. Enter the new number in the provided field and click Add Phone.
2. Review the terms (optional) and click Continue.
3. Enter the verification code sent to the new number.
4. Close the box by clicking the X in the top right - your number is now verified.
