Field Types

There are 3 types of custom fields you can choose from, depending on what kind of data you want to track:

  • Text fields – Great for notes, producer comments, vintage impressions, etc.

  • Number fields – Perfect for scores (yours or a critic’s), or custom prices

  • Date fields – Useful for tracking any custom dates such as drink-by dates, or memorable moments

Ideas for Custom Field Use

You can use custom fields to track almost anything. Here are some popular examples:

  • Personal Rating – Your own 1–100 score or star rating

  • Critic Scores – If you subscribe to a Robert Parker, Wine Spectator, Jancis Robinson, etc. you can copy and paste specific reviews here

  • Serving Notes – Ideal temperature, glassware, decanting time

  • Food Pairing Ideas – Your go-to dishes to enjoy with the wine

  • Resale Value – Estimated market value if selling

Custom fields are all about personalization—so make the system work for you.
