Text fields – Great for notes, producer comments, vintage impressions, etc.
Number fields – Perfect for scores (yours or a critic’s), or custom prices
Date fields – Useful for tracking any custom dates such as drink-by dates, or memorable moments
Ideas for Custom Field Use
You can use custom fields to track almost anything. Here are some popular examples:
Personal Rating – Your own 1–100 score or star rating
Critic Scores – If you subscribe to a Robert Parker, Wine Spectator, Jancis Robinson, etc. you can copy and paste specific reviews here
Serving Notes – Ideal temperature, glassware, decanting time
Food Pairing Ideas – Your go-to dishes to enjoy with the wine
Resale Value – Estimated market value if selling
Custom fields are all about personalization—so make the system work for you.
