How to change the owner of a Collection

If you’re using the collaborators feature or created an account for someone else and are ready to transfer ownership, the best way to change the owner of a collection is by updating the email address associated with the account.

Steps to Change the Email Address:

*You can only change your e-mail address if you have created an account for InVintory using and email address (and password). If you have signed in by your Apple ID or through your Google account, you have to contact Apple or Google to change the email that you associate with those accounts.

If you want to disconnect your InVintory account from your Google or Apple Automatic sign in, our team needs to manually do this.

On the iPhone App

  1. Tap on Profile in the bottom menu bar

  2. Tap on the Settings gear icon in the top right corner

  3. Scroll down to email and tap on it

  4. Enter your new email and save

On the Desktop Site

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner

  2. Select "Account"

  3. Under your profile icon, move from the "General" page to "Edit Profile"

  4. Delete the current email, and type in a new email

  5. Click "Save Profile" at the bottom

Once the email address is updated, the account will be linked to the new owner’s email, and the collection ownership will be secured.
