The Friends and Family Test (FFT) serves as an essential feedback mechanism that allows patients to share their care experiences. The survey asks respondents about their overall experience with the services they received and provides multiple response options. When paired with additional follow-up questions, the FFT creates a system that can identify both positive and negative patient experiences. Such feedback plays a crucial role in NHS service transformation and helps support informed patient decisions.
iPlato offer a FFT basic version and a PRO version. For both versions patients will receive a text message following their appointments. The messages will be sent 2 hours after a patient has attended their appointment. For Basic all responses will be sent to the assigned practice email, see below for details on the Pro version.

Upgrading to FFT Pro Steps
For practices interested in upgrading to PRO and in order to activate please do the following steps:
Login to myGP Connect
Select FFT from the left-hand side menu
Refer to the blue box at the bottom of the screen
Click Upgrade to FFT Pro now!
Step 1: Select the plan and price your practice wishes to action from the Choose your plan column
Step 2: enter your promotional code if you have one (if not, leave blank)
Step 3: Tick the box to agree with the terms of service
Select the option of Confirm Set up direct debit or Call me to set up alternative billing options to complete your payment plan
Refer to the blue box at the bottom of the screen
Click Then upgrade to FFT by clicking here
Each month you will receive you downloadable PDF with graphics of all the data
Please Note: unless your ICB is providing you a version of FFT PRO, you will be billed for the upgrade. If you are uncertain, please contact your ICB to confirm if you are receiving this plan.
FAQ
Is there any criteria for FFT Pro?
For FFT Pro, the key requirement is to pick up appointments, which means exclusions must be properly enabled and managed. It doesn't matter whether appointment reminders are turned on or off.
