EMIS Clinical System Disconnected

Written by Mohamed

If you have logged into www.mygpconnect.com and noticed there is a red dot showing on the Dashboard this means that iPlato is not connected with EMIS.

There are a few reasons why this can happen including:

  • Partner API disconnected

  • Incorrect Password of the iPlato User

  • iPlato User has incorrect Access

Please follow the guide below to check these issues and email help@iplato.com afterwards to confirm done.

First step is to head to EMIS and click on the EMIS bubble in the top left hand corner > System Tools and then click EMAS Manager (if you are unable to see EMAS manager then you do not have the correct admin access and should contact your practice manager to action this on your behalf).

Partner API disconnected - Activate Application

At the bottom of the navigation panel, click the Partner API tab. (This should be in the bottom left corner)

At the top of the navigation panel, scroll down and find Patient Care Messaging (sometimes called iplato messaging) (For Wales sites, it’s called My Health Text).

If there is a red cross showing beside Patient Care Messaging/My Health Text then highlight it and on the ribbon, click Activate Application.

A green tick should now display instantly beside Patient Care Messaging and it should look like this:

Incorrect Password of the iPlato User - Set Password

To update the password please press Edit Users.

A pop up window should appear with all your users. Find the Patient Care Messaging user

Ensure the white box next to the users name is ticked

Select Change Password and enter a password of your choice (ensure no symbols or special characters are used and that it is 10 digits)

Re-type the 10 digit password again and confirm (This password will need to be sent to help@iplato.com once you've updated it)

iPlato User has incorrect Access - Configure Login Access

The final step to check is by selecting on the ribbon Login Access.

Find the Patient Care Messaging user and select the following boxes:

  1. Auto Login

  2. Allow Login

  3. Click OK.

Once you've checked the above steps and set a new password please email help@iplato.com confirming the above steps along with your ODS code and the new password that you have sent.
