Daily allowances

Daily allowances are payments you may receive from accident insurance, health insurance, military service (EO), or maternity benefits, if paid directly to you. If payment is made through your employer, these amounts are already included in your salary certificate (Lohnausweis).

You were on sick leave and received daily compensation directly from your employer’s daily sickness benefits insurance (KTG).

The insurance company typically sends a confirmation in January confirming the total amount received.
