Authors can add references to text to give attribution or cite sources.
Where there is a reference, learners see three dots and can select them to view the full details of the reference.
How to add a reference to text
To add a reference to your learning content:
- Within a text element, select Reference in the toolbar. 
- Add your reference in the space provided. 
 You can use bold or italics to align with a particular referencing method.- You can also use the chain (Link) to add a link within your reference. 
- Save your reference. You'll see a grey square with a reference number. Something like: fnref123456 
- Save the text element to see a preview of your reference as learners will see it.
