Updating Studio Settings

Updated over a week ago

Studio Settings let you manage the core details of your Studio — the workspace where your cameras, team members, and production tools live. From here you can rename your Studio, delete it, or leave a Studio you've been invited to.

Organization Settings let you manage your organization's profile — logo, name, website, industry, and membership.

Accessing Settings

There are two ways to get to your settings:

From the Studio Switcher: Click the dropdown in the top-left corner of your screen. Hover over the Studio or Organization you want to manage and click the settings icon (gear) that appears.

From the Profile Dropdown: Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner and select "Studio Settings" or "Organization Settings" from the dropdown.

The settings dialog has two top-level tabs: Account and Studio. Under the Studio tab, you'll find sub-tabs including Settings and Billing (Billing is only visible to Owners and Admins).

Renaming Your Studio

  1. In the Studio Name field, type the new name.

  2. The Save Changes button at the bottom becomes active once you've made a change.

  3. Click Save Changes. The button briefly shows "Saving..." while processing.

  4. The new name takes effect immediately across the app for all team members.

If you don't have permission to rename, the name field is grayed out and uneditable. Renaming requires Owner or Admin access.

If you close the dialog without saving, your changes are discarded. If you switch Studios while the dialog is open, the name field resets to the new Studio's name.

Deleting a Studio

Deleting a Studio is permanent and cannot be undone. All cameras and devices linked to that Studio will be unlinked.

To delete:

  1. In Studio Settings, click the "Delete Studio" link below the Studio Name field.

    • This link only appears if you have destroy permission (typically Owner) and you have more than one Studio. You cannot delete your last Studio.

  2. A confirmation dialog appears: Delete "[Your Studio Name]" Studio

  3. Type the exact phrase shown in bold (e.g., "Delete My Studio") into the text field. The field has a red border until the text matches exactly.

  4. Once the text matches, the red Delete Studio button becomes active. Click it to confirm.

  5. The link text changes to "Deleting" while processing.

  6. After deletion, the app reloads and redirects you to your remaining Studio.

Leaving a Studio

If you were invited to a Studio (you're not the Owner), you can leave it:

  1. In Studio Settings, click the "Leave Studio" link.

    • This link only appears if you are not the Owner.

  2. The link text changes to "Leaving" while processing.

  3. After leaving, the app reloads and redirects you to another Studio or the home page.

Leaving removes your membership. You'll need a new invitation to rejoin.

What Happens If…

…you close the dialog without saving? Changes are discarded. The Studio name reverts to what it was before.

…you switch Studios while the dialog is open? The name field resets to the new Studio's name. Unsaved changes are cleared.

…you type the wrong confirmation text when deleting? The Delete button stays disabled. The text field shows a red border until the phrase matches exactly.

…you don't have permission to edit? The Studio Name field is grayed out. You can view the name but can't change it.

…Studio data is still loading? The name field shows "Loading studio..." as placeholder text and is disabled until the data loads.

…you delete a Studio while others are using it? The Studio is removed for everyone. The app redirects all members to another available Studio or the home page.

…you try to delete your only Studio? The Delete link won't appear. You must have at least two Studios to delete one.
