How to use Repaper as a graphics tablet.

Use Repaper as a graphics tablet and draw & write with your favorite software on your computer: Photoshop©, Illustrator©, Krita©, Affinity©, Inkscape©, Drawboard©, MS PowerPoint©, Miro©...

You can also share your drawings, notes and diagrams remotely & in real time thanks to the screen sharing functions of video conferencing systems.

Repaper Stylus, the iskn stylus, gives you the best experience while using Repaper with other softwares. It can be used directly on the Repaper surface and replaces your computer mouse.

🚩 Please note that the graphics tablet mode is an exclusive mode for Windows PC and Mac 🖳 . It is not possible to use Repaper along with other softwares on your mobile device.


How to use Repaper with other softwares?

Find below important information to use Repaper with other softwares.

1. Connecting Repaper to your favorite software

If you want to use Repaper with other softwares, it is necessary to connect your tablet to Repaper Studio on your computer.

The graphics tablet mode is enabled by default in Repaper Studio:

  • Download and install the Repaper Studio App on your Windows PC or Mac.

  • Launch the application.

  • Connect Repaper to Repaper Studio on your computer.

  • Open your favorite software and enhance your drawings, edit your text documents, annotate your presentations etc.

👉 Good to know:

  • Be sure to keep the Repaper Studio App running in the background: if you exit Repaper Studio, the mode will be disabled.

  • The graphics tablet mode is not compatible with the drawing functions in Repaper Studio. If you click on "Draw" in Repaper Studio, the graphics tablet mode will be disabled.

2. Configuring the graphics tablet mode

For a personalized experience, we recommend configuring the graphics tablet mode's settings to your needs.

Click on "Configure" in Repaper Studio to access the graphics tablet mode settings.

⚙️ Graphics tablet mode settings

  • "Graphics tablet mode is on": The graphics tablet mode is enabled by default in Repaper Studio. You can use the toggle button to enable / disable the graphics tablet mode.

  • "Geometry of the active area": Select the size of the active drawing zone of your Repaper tablet. You can choose in between the "screen geometry" and the "wide" format.

  • "Active Screens": If you work with two or more monitors, you can choose which screen you'd like to draw on.

  • "Size of the active area": you can choose in between a medium area and a large area in order to adjust your Repaper's active drawing zone.

⚙️ Custom shortcuts

On the same page, under the section "Configuration of buttons", customize the behavior of the Repaper buttons. The buttons are pre-configured for right-clicking in the graphics tablet mode. You can change this setting as explained here.


3. Pressure rendering

Managing pressure levels when using Repaper in graphics tablet mode depends on your software. Please find further information here.


What if my tool is not detected in my software?

  • Verify that Repaper is connected successfully to Repaper Studio.

  • Make sure to not open the drawing zone in Repaper Studio (we recommend to simply open the app's start page)

  • If you use a Mac, make sure that you have authorized Repaper Studio in the macOS settings, as explained here

  • If you have a Windows computer, make sure that the Microsoft Visual C++ program is installed on your computer.
