Import leads and mailing lists
It's easy to import a large list of leads at once. First, download the CSV template - this will show you how to structure and sort your lead information, and give you a few examples of how to enter the information.
Please note that date of birth needs to be provided as DD/MM/YYYY (day/month/year).
Also note that Country, State/province, gender, and "do not contact" need to be entered in a specific manner.
Please exclude all commas (,) from your file (you can use the Replace function in Excel), otherwise your information may not be saved properly
In order to import a custom field, please name the column the "short name" of the custom field (which you can find in the My Custom Fields page:
When your file is ready, save it in CSV format. If you're working with Hebrew, make sure to select UTF-8 encoding:
Next, (optionally) select the lead lists that you'd like to associate with the leads you're importing. So if I'm importing a list of foundations, I might select "Foundations" as my lead list:
Then, select your file and click "upload".
As soon as the file has finished uploading, you'll see a confirmation message detailing the number of successfully imported records.
If something goes wrong, or the file is not properly set up, you'll see a message like this, with the number of recorded that we weren't able to import, and a button to download the lists of records to fix.
Edit and update leads
An email address makes a lead unique. So if you import an existing email address, we'll automatically update the lead's record. For example, if the lead with the email address "jon@jon.com" is in our system as having the first name "Jon", you can import the following:
Email Address | First Name |
Jonathan |
We'll match the email address you're importing to an existing record and automatically update Jon's first name to "Jonathan".
