How do I take and attach a screenshot?

Screenshots are a snapshot of what's currently visible on your screen. They can be very helpful when you want to show a Customer Support Representative an image of what you're seeing. This article will guide on how to take screenshot on your device and attach it to the conversation with our Customer Support Team.


For iOS users

To take a screenshot:

  • Press the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button on the device at the same time. The screen will flash white. If you have sound enabled, you'll hear a camera click.

For iPhone X:

  • Press and hold the button on the right side of the phone, while pressing and releasing the volume up button the the left side.

For Android users:

If you're using Android 4.0 or later, including on a 3rd or 4th Generation Kindle Fire device, follow the steps below to take a screenshot and attach it in an email:

  1. Press and hold the power button and the volume down button at the same time. You'll see an animation on your screen, indicating that the screenshot was taken.

  2. The screenshot will be saved to your Gallery.

  3. You can now attach the screenshot to your email.

Windows users

  1. Press the PrtScn (Print Screen) key on your keyboard. (This key can usually be found in the upper right area of your keyboard.)

  2. When you do that, the image is copied to your Windows clipboard. To view and save the image, it must be pasted into a graphics program (such as Paint).

  3. To open Paint, click the Start button, then Accessories, and then Paint.

  4. Paste the image into the Paint document by clicking on Edit at the top, and selecting Paste from the menu.

  5. Select File then Save As to save the image to a location of your choice on your computer.

  6. Attach the screenshot to your email.


MacOS users

To take a screenshot on a Mac, you can use the Shift, Command, and 3 keys simultaneously to capture the entire screen, or use the Shift, Command, and 4 keys for selecting a portion of the screen, according to Apple Support. The screenshot will either be saved to your desktop or be shown as a thumbnail for editing.

On your mobile device, use the ➕ button in the lower right corner of the in-app chat window.
