What is a Jackpot?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

A jackpot is the biggest win possible for a single spin on a given slot machine.

How do I win a jackpot?
- Hit five of the designated symbols or five Wilds on a single virtual bet payline.

For information about a slot machine's jackpot, view the machine's virtual payout guide.

A few important things to keep in mind:

1) Jackpots do not count toward the Biggest Win stat on your account.

2) On newer virtual slot machines, you DO NOT need to virtually bet the maximum amount or virtually bet on all lines to win a jackpot. You may pick the number of chips to virtually bet and the number of lines you wish to virtually bet on. On these slots, the value of the jackpot is based on the virtual bet amount; the larger the virtual bet, the larger the jackpot.

3) On virtual slot machines that offer multiple types of a jackpot, only the highest value jackpot hit is paid per spin.

4) If two Jackpots of equal value are hit at once, only one Jackpot will be awarded.

Where can I see a jackpot's current total?

- The current jackpot total is visible at the top of each slot machine.

Do all virtual slot machines feature a jackpot?

- No. While most virtual slot machines do feature a jackpot, some machines do not. Virtual slot machines that do offer a jackpot will include a jackpot counter at the top of the machine.

Some virtual slot machines offer several types of jackpots. Others may include multiple symbols that qualify for the jackpot. For information about each slot machine, please visit the slots guide.

I hit 5 of the rarest symbol. Why didn't I get a jackpot?

Here are a few possible reasons:

  • The symbols may not have been on a valid virtual payline. Unlike scatters, where scatter symbols can appear randomly across reels, jackpot-eligible symbols must appear on a valid virtual payline as specified in the virtual slot's payout guide to count as a win.

  • The jackpot is unavailable during free spins. If you hit five of the required symbol on a single line during free spins, you will receive the number of virtual chips corresponding to hitting five of the symbol on that line, as indicated in the virtual payout guide.

  • On most virtual slots, excluding those that offer multiple jackpots, to be eligible to win a jackpot, you must virtually bet the maximum amount on all lines.
